Right of Withdrawal and Digital Products Policy

1. Scope of this Policy

This policy informs consumers about their statutory right of withdrawal for physical goods and the specific rules for digital products sold via the website www.bowstudiobooks.com, operated by Bow Studio Books, Torstrasse 30, 10119 Berlin GERMANY,

email: hello@bowstudiobooks.com.

It applies to all purchases made by consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB).

2. Right of Withdrawal for Physical Goods

2.1 Withdrawal Period

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier, acquire physical possession of the goods.

2.2 Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Bow Studio Books, [Insert address], email: hello@bowstudiobooks.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email).

You may use the sample withdrawal form provided in Section 6, but it is not mandatory.

2.3 Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (except for additional costs resulting from choosing a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.

You must send back the goods without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal.
You will bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

3. Exclusion of the Right of Withdrawal for Certain Goods

The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for:

Goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized;
Sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once unsealed after delivery;
Goods that, after delivery, are inseparably mixed with other items;
Newspapers, periodicals, or magazines, except for subscriptions.

4. Books and Printed Products (Print on Demand)

All printed books and journals sold by Bow Studio Books are produced individually on demand after each order (“print on demand”).
In accordance with Section 312g (2) No. 1 BGB, the right of withdrawal does not apply to such contracts, as these goods are made to the consumer’s specifications and are therefore non-returnable.

Accordingly, books and printed products cannot be returned or exchanged, except in cases of damage or manufacturing defect.

5. Digital Products – Special Terms

5.1 Nature of Digital Products

Digital products (e-books, downloadable journals, guides, PDFs, and similar content) are digital content not supplied on a tangible medium within the meaning of Section 327 (2) BGB.
They are delivered electronically by download or email link.

5.2 Delivery and Access

Access to digital products is provided immediately after payment through a download link or automatic delivery email.
Please ensure that your email address is entered correctly and that your device supports standard formats (PDF, EPUB, ZIP, etc.).

5.3 No Right of Withdrawal After Download Begins

In accordance with Section 356 (5) BGB, the right of withdrawal for digital content expires once performance of the contract has begun after you have given your express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal when delivery starts.

By completing your purchase and downloading or accessing the digital product, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge the waiver of your right of withdrawal.

Accordingly, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable, except where required by mandatory law.

5.4 Technical Requirements

The customer must ensure that their device and software can open and store standard digital formats.
Bow Studio Books is not liable for compatibility issues or user device errors.

6. Personal Use Licence and Copyright

(1) All digital products are protected by copyright and intellectual property law.

(2) Upon full payment, Bow Studio Books grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use the purchased digital content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

(3) You are not permitted to:

Copy, share, resell, or distribute the digital content to third parties;
Upload or make the content publicly accessible;
Modify or reproduce the content for commercial use.

(4) Any infringement of these provisions constitutes a violation of the German Copyright Act (UrhG) and may result in legal action.
